JAMM Stars
Youth Basketball Skills Training

About Us

JAMM Stars was founded as a youth skills camp to help kids learn the fundamentals of basketball, strengthen their skills and enhance their love for the game. We focus on small group and individual sessions to offer personalized assessments and promote team play.

Our lead instructor, James Mason, has over 15 years of basketball camp experience, spending 7 of those years in a coaching capacity. He has coached and mentored students on the high school and collegiate levels, and his most recent experience is as a youth league basketball coach for i9 Sports. James has played against many noted NBA players such as Tracy McGrady, Roger Mason Jr., Lamar Odom, Keith Bogans, and many others.

James was taught and mentored by one of the best high school coaches, Michael Bozeman, former head coach of the Bishop McNamara High School Lady Mustangs and now head coach of the George Washington University women’s basketball team. Serving as an assistant basketball coach for Bishop McNamara, James was responsible for developing the skills of perimeter players, implementing defensive strategies, and helping with day-to-day operations of practices and games. As a coach for the Nike Elite Summer League team for 4 years, he was able to develop fundamental drills, skill development exercises and game winning strategies to lead his team to back-to-back championships. As a team scout, he has an eye for talent and can easily identify strengths and weaknesses, and help your child get the most out of individualized training.
